The Idler Academy at Selfridges

the Idler Academy is taking up residence in Selfridges in London over the next two months. This is part of their Words Words Words season, designed to celebrate the literary. We have a table of Idler goodies on sale upstairs in the Wonder Room, and a series of wonderful literary workshops and lessons in the Ultralounge, a comfy space in the basement with a library of 15,000 books. It’s very exciting and we kick off on Friday 13 January at 5pm for a grammar lesson with Mr Gwynne.  And click here take a look at the other events

Printed on Fabriano 285gsm, with deckle edge down one side, hand numbered and stamped, in a limited edition of 50, with a choice of either the Blanco - an exquisite snowy white stock, or Rosaspina - a more antique cream for the more refined textured walls.

This edition of the amazing book written by poet, activist, feminist Marilyn Chin, published by Hamish Hamilton – this colourful cover is to be no more, and I have the last few copies of this book with this cover design. Once these are sold out, the book will revert to a much simpler design.

Memories Book

This week is the launch of the Memories Book...
This beautifully illustrated book looks at the thoughts and experiences of individuals who have survived cancer, as well as those of people who have lost loved ones. Inside the book there is 10 stories, each looking at one person’s memories of a particular day or period of time when struggling against cancer, and each written story has 12 illustrated reponses from artists, designers and illustrator. I was asked to contribute an illustration for a piece titled 'After the Storm'. The project is being launched by Designers Against Human Rights Abuse (DAHRA), Subism, OneTenEleven Media and editor Garrick Webster, and many writers and 144 imagemakers from all over the world contributed to this book.
